You have the right to the know that your building work is being done by a qualified builder - who has the skills and correct qualifications to do a good job in all respects.
With this in mind the New Zealand Certified Builders Association has been set up to meet the growing demand from builders and consumers alike, for an independent, QUALIFICATIONS based, trade organisation to represent qualified builders NZ wide.
Strict Membership Criteria Mean High Standards Of Workmanship!
Only qualified builders can apply for membership of NZCBA and must supply five trade references endorsing the quality of their workmanship and business practice.

| A Ten Year Cover On Your Building Job: As a consumer you have extensive
protection available under The Fair Trading Act; The Consumer Guarantees Act and the
Building Act 1991. NZCBA promotes the need for customers to be aware of the extent of this
protection as it relates to the building industry. |
| Ensuring Your Job Meets Required Standards: Using a qualified builder means knowing your job will comply with The Building Act 1991 as they also know and work to the standards it requires. This includes for example, the Building NZS 3604 code relating to standards for performance of materials to be used wooden framed houses. |
| Registered Members Keep at Forefront of Latest Trends and Techniques: The NZCBA provides access to ongoing training and trends for its members. This means they keep their skills updated to keep fully abreast of technical and product advances in the building industry. |

NorthWest BuildNet is a comprehensive & widely viewed online guide to construction & home improvement resources in the American Pacific Northwest. Providing news, resources, tools, books, software & services to home builders, remodelers & home owners and innovative building products.AEC InfoCenter - This site features a well-organized selection of both supplier information and links with a great resource of USA building product literature, associations, firms, publications, conferences, builder and contractor lists, upcoming projects and a very active builders forum.
ARCAT - This site offers a complete seachable database of Companies, Specifications, Building Products, Associations, Hardware and Software, CES Providers, Architectural Schools, Building Codes and Architectural Events. Of particular note is their great selection of Free downloadable specifications in CSI format. Avaialable in a number of PC and Mac application formats.
Building B.C. lists all the major building resources available in British Columbia, Canada. They have architects, engineers, contractors and building material suppliers listed, as well as speciality listings for log home materials and solar products.
BuildCom list manufacturers, associations, service providers, merchants, and links to other sites. Some interior products, such as floor coverings, are included.
BuildingOnline's search engine is a construction industry web site data base used to find construction related company's on the Internet, with over 35,000 pages indexed and cross referenced.
